Water Damage in Port Aransas , Texas

In August 25th 2017, the Storm Harvey made landfall along the Middle Texas Coast, near Rockport, Texas, at peak intensity. Afterwards, rapid weakening ensued, and Harvey had downgraded to a tropical storm as it stalled near the coastline of the state, dropping torrential and unprecedented amounts of rainfall over the Lone Star state.

Due the strong winds, this home lost part of the roofing and the chimney, leaving the structure open to the rain; affecting the 90% of the home including ceilings, walls, wood floors , cabinets and contents.

SERVPRO of McAllen start the mitigation process with the  assessment (restorable) of the furniture and contents, the second stage was the demolition of walls ,floors covering and cabinets.

The final step was the dry out, we needed 4 days with air movers and dehumidification  to leave the structure in preloss conditions.
